Photoshop CC 2019 crashes subsequently open any file
Hi, on a Windows 10 (1903) Photoshop CC 2019 (twenty.0.half-dozen) crashes when I open up whatsoever file. If I uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" everything works.
The trouble appeared after reinstallation of Windows, on version 1803 everything worked well.
Graphics card is nvidia GTX 1060, tried on driver version 431.70 and 436.02.
Installed and uninstalled Photoshop and drivers.

Win10, no PSD thumbnails even with SageThumbs
I know Windows doesn't support AI and PSD preview thumbnails in its native file manager for licensing reasons. To overcome that, I installed SageThumbs beat which worked fine in Windows Explorer upwards until the latest Win 10 updates. I take re-installed SageThumbs 3 times to no avail. I can''t even run across generic PSD icons anymore. Windows has really messed things upward for me.
Incidentally, I take Span open but I'thou using information technology for another reason. I'm really looking to restore preview thumbnails in Windows Explorer. Anybody got suggestions? Give thanks you.
Photos look dissimilar when exporting.
So I've been having a fleck of trouble with photoshop. I find my images not looking exactly how I edit them after I export. They seem to await more than heavily saturated and contrast seems to be cranked upwards quite a bit. I also notice that sometimes the reds seem a bit too amplified. I've remedied this in the past by adding a -xv contrast adjustment layer right before exporting to compensate for this difference. It just works about half the time. Any help to get my images to look closer to my final edit would be great equally I find this incredibly frustrating every bit an creative person.

Details- I purchased my Photoshop probably 9 years agone. It says it is version 12.0. I do not accept Creative Deject. My Macbook is version 10.14.iv.
I realize that is an extremely long time to non update a program, but I practise not want to pay for it once more, expecially on a monthly ground when I don't use it as often as I used to.

Removing Background from Adobe Sketch

I have a feeling there is a very easy respond to this that I'grand just missing...but I am creating line drawings in adobe sketch. I then need to accept those sketched line drawings and remove the background, so I tin can have a transparency. At present, I've been attempting this in Photoshop for a bit and I can't seem to figure out how to do it seamlessly. Delight, any ideas are more welcome!! Tricks for photoshop? Maybe I need to utilize Illustrator?

Temporary ready: Alt-tab to unfreeze Photoshop
E'er since the nigh recent Photoshop CC versions, Photoshop will every one time in a while stop operation. I can't select a different tool, can't use a keyboard shortcut, tin can't select a layer, tin't, well, just can't do annihilation.
Merely.
For months now, or possibly even longer, I have worked a way out of this freeze past simply hitting 'Alt-tab' to switch to a different window. This may even be the window of a different Photoshop file. Information technology immediately unfreezes Photoshop and I can continue working.
I thought I would postal service, never gave it much thought but it may actually help someone.
Only of grade I promise this silly freezing will some day be fixed and CC will become only as stable as CS6.

1) If it can be upgraded, what version is recommended and how can we use the existing license, or do we need to pay some extra fee to get information technology upgraded?
2) If we have to throw the existing old license and buy a make new version of Photoshop, where can I go a quote?
3) It would exist nice if I can also have a list to compare the Photoshop with one-off paid license and the Photoshop with subscription

Trying to find my custom shapes in my new computer
Hi! So final week, the motherboard of my sometime calculator died and so the only affair I salvaged was my hard drive. Now I accept everything prepare upwards with my new computer with the erstwhile difficult drive within accompanying the new ane, except I haven't figured out where to find my custom shapes. I can simply find the default shapes that came with the plan in the custom shapes folder. They had to exist saved somewhere correct?

I take a question most sharpening lines in an prototype. The attached epitome is a scan of a copy of the original topographical map. You volition notice the light brown contour lines are somewhat blurry.

Photoshop brush tool won't work
Hi!
My photoshop sometimes won't let me apply the brush tool after i've clicked out of the app, and and so gone back in (e.g to check something on the internet, find a photo, etc).
I can exercise everything else except use the brush tool. I can change the colour of my brush, change the opacity of the layer, select an area, etc etc. I can even draw a line and it comes upwards that I've done this in the history tab, but the line I draw won't evidence up.
I saw a thread on hither from like 2013, saying deselect/reset the brush tool just neither of these options work, also my situation is slightly dissimilar.

Pantone converted to RGB and CMYK produce different values in Photoshop and Illustrator?

I'm working on a logo, and the customer wanted it based around Pantone 300C. The client has likewise asked for RGB and CMYK values to lucifer. When I'm in Photoshop, and switch the color dialog box from "Color Libraries" to "Picker", the values shown are:
RGB: 0/99/190
CMYK: 100/58/v/0
However, when I'grand in Illustrator, and view the values in the color dialog box, I become the post-obit values:
RGB: 0/92/185
CMYK: 90.86/67.86/0/0
Am I missing something here? Why would these two programs translate the Pantone color differently?
FYI, I accept both programs set to the sRGB color space, but I don't know if that matters?
EDIT: I just looked at this in InDesign, and came up with even more than dissimilar values:
RGB: 0/92/185 (same as Illustrator)
CMYK: 100/62.21/vii.03/0.37 (completely different than PS or Ill)
Photoshop CC freezes but unfreezes when I switch to any other plan
Hi,
my Photoshop keeps freezing near every time I effort to zoom in or out, sometimes during other operations. The weird thing is if I click any other progam form my taskbar (e.g Span) and immediately go back to Photoshop everything goes back to normal for nigh 15 seconds. If i dont do this I have to wait well-nigh 5 seconds to unfreeze. I fifty-fifty developed a habit of switching to Span and back to Photoshop if I have to do someting quickly . This is all happening on Windows 10.
This has been troubling me for quite a long time now. I tried tinkering with Photoshop settings, updating drivers, updating Photoshop to the last version. The problem still persists.
Whatsoever ideas?
USB External Monitor forces MacBook Pro to apply integrated GPU only

I've recently purchased Asus mb16ac (portable external monitor that only uses USB C for both data transfer + power)
The result is it forces my MacBook Pro to use the integrated graphic card But & ALWAYS, and the "automatic GPU switch" isn't working no thing what app I am using.
Since I am a graphic designer, this is a huge problem since apps like Photoshop is designed to employ the other dedicated GPU (radeon).
when I don't use the external monitor, the operation tab in Photoshop pref shows that it detects Radeon as my defended graphic card,
but when I am connected to the external monitor(USB 3.0 to USB C to the monitor), information technology shows that the intel integrated graphic is shown as my detected graphic card and information technology makes the photoshop incredibly slow.
Can this be fixed in whatever way? or is this inevitable with USB External Monitors?

HELPPPP! Ever since I updated my mid 2014 Macbook Pro OS to Mojave x.14.vi and Photoshop xx.0.06 it's taking forever to open large format files. It'south taking effectually xx minutes to open a 2GB file but once I go through that opening others is less of a problem. I tried reverting to PS 2017 but no luck. I doubtable the Mac Os has something to exercise with it.

I only recently got an active stylus for my new HP Envy x 360 Tablet Computer, and for some reason it won't work in my version of Adobe Suite, which is CS5. I've used CS5 in the past with two dissimilar USB Tablets, which the force per unit area sensitivity worked just fine for both of them, but when I try to use my stylus on my laptop, information technology merely comes out as if I'yard using the mouse. But while running this script, few text layers does not have these properties and Getting fault "General photoshop error occurred. While debugging with ExtendScript ToolKit, "textItem" object does not accept "justification" and "kind" properties.
Only doc.layers[i].textItem.hasOwnProperty('justification') returns true. Do I need to check any other properties before trying to access them?
How tin I cheque whether a property is exists or non before trying to admission them?

Cannot select multiple objects with the Selection Tool

In my photoshop file, I try to select multiple objects by using the "Rectangular Marquee tool" to marker a selection which include all the objects I want to select. After that, when I attempt to nudge the selected objects, but will always get the error "Could not nudge the selection considering an artboard is selected. Endeavor selecting the objects within the artboard". Merely how to select objects inside the artboard?
Retaining vector information
If I have a 8" x 8", 100 x 100 pixel paradigm and I put a blazon layer or shapes on it in photoshop and save it as a Photoshop pdf, when I open it up in Acrobat, I can zoom in and the text and shapes retain their clarity, but the background is the lousy 100 x 100 px image. That's slap-up.
Just if I place or import vector information (AI/PDF/EPS) onto a layer equally a "smart object", save it and open in Acrobat, the smart object layer is pixelated to match the 100 x 100 px background, while the type and shapes are still sharp.
This is because I'chiliad creating a 500+" 10 120" graphic that has to interact with vector shapes (vectors "go behind" images in some places) and I want to be able to employ photoshop'southward masking to create softer edges that match the raster images behind. Now that my Curve aligning is saved as smart filter below the layer thumbnail. I want to convert the smart filter into adjustment layer and then I can use the same settings as global adjustment for other layers in my composite.

I am working on a new client who states in their make book that their color red is:
Pantone 185C
R:228 Thou:0 B:43
When I get into their supplied logos in Illustrator, the RGB Red is actually R:228 G:30 B:45. I idea it was wrong at beginning but so I noticed that this is the out of gamut correction colour that Illustrator suggests because 228/0/43 is out of gamut.
I'm request in Photoshop, considering my RGB art volition be used in Photoshop. If the brand wanted united states to use the gamut correction, I feel like they would of inverse that in their brand book to accept the numbers reflect this.
The did not utilise the pantone match of the CMYK for this red, they did a custom mix.
Wondering how you might advise to handle it?

Since upgrading the windows 10 per their request when I open photoshop CS3 or adobe 8 pdf is says I need to reactivate. When I put in the serial numbers it says they are not valid. How to I get effectually this. I am retired and don't need to upgrade to the Cloud and I paid for these and desire to continue to utilise them.
Un-merge Shape components in photoshop?
To merge two vector shapes I click on "Path Operations" and then cull "Merge Shape Components", I have no manner of getting the shapes autonomously curt of selecting each signal of one shape individually and cutting it correct?

I'grand using Photoshop CC 2019 and Bridge CC 2019 on a mac running Mojave.
None of the Photoshop scripts under Tools>Photoshop are working, The bulletin is that "Merge to HRD Pro.jsx cannot be plant. A similar 'cannot be found' message appears for when I attempt to run other scripts.
A searched my difficult drive for the script and information technology is at that place within the Photoshop CC 2019 folder (Photoshop CC 2019>Presets>Scripts>Merge to HDR Pro.jsx.
In Bridge preferences, all showtime-up scripts are enabled.
In reading the forum, this problem appeared in the 2018 version and was resolved by downgrading the app to a previous version, merely that seems similar a poor long term solution and defeats the point of having a CC subscription.
Has anyone solved this problem with another solution?

Photoshop Saving File Blazon Issues
Hi there, I am running Photoshop CC 2019 - simply recently, saving files have become very inconvenient. Once I'm in the saving dialogue and choosing what kind of file type I need to salve the file, the extension is still saved every bit .psd - and once the file is saved, it can't open unless I change the extension to what I first internally wanted the file to be.
For an example, I want to save the file .PNG - so once I choose for format blazon every bit .PNG the file name on shown on the FILE is yet says .psd unless manually change it to .PNG.

Why aren't bitmap tiffs transparent any more?
For the longest time I was able to save bitmap tiffs in Photoshop and place them in InDesign and Illustrator and they would have a transparent background. I could colorize the tiff and place it on elevation of other objects because the background was transparent. With the latest version of Photoshop CC I'm not able to do that anymore. I don't want to save the file as a .png or a .psd. Information technology has to exist a bitmap tiff and and then I can change the color and the background has to be transparent. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Patently my FB Imprint is depression res and so when I paste in an epitome, the prototype is huge and I need to practice several transformings to scale it down. I was wondering if there was a fashion to paste in the image and it automatically scales downwards (proportionately) to the dimensions of the prototype I am working on?
